My Story & Vision
Meet Dira
Pronunciation: Dye-ruh
For years as an athlete, I saw my body as a machine and after diving heavily into yoga following injury, I noticed that by slowing down I connected with something special—and it was me.
Feeling a nudge to begin sharing the wisdom life has lent her, Dira became an RRCA Level 1 certified running coach, and subsequently completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training (YTT) through Yoga District and 85-hour prenatal yoga teacher training through Utah Prenatal Yoga in 2024. Dira has a strong desire to bring the practice of yoga to various communities and increase peace in the world, as the practice has lent her deeper ease physically, mentally, and spiritually. In running, Dira hopes to shine a light on the endless potential within others, offering individualized guidance to actualize their goals and dreams.
My Intentions
My classes are based on the Hatha flow tradition, a slower paced practice that incorporates longer holds to focus on breath and alignment. I encourage peace and tranquility in my classes with a calming voice, easeful sequencing, and soothing playlists. My hope is that by learning to quiet the chatter of one’s mind and moving mindfully in asana practice, you can experience greater self-love and appreciation, as I have in my practice.
Class Experience
My run coaching is based on Jack Daniels Running philosophy and is infused with self-knowledge and musings gained of many years of competing at a high-level across various distances. I encourage self-trust, curiosity, and playfulness in running, and believe that through pursuing one’s potential one can hold deeper love and appreciation towards oneself and others.
